Aaaah. Well that answers every single one of my questions.

Sage Stallone was brought on to the project by Marc Sheffler (Junior from Last House On The Left) who was originally the producer and writer of Chaos.
The truth is Chaos was originally titled "The House In The Middle Of Nowhere" and it was pitched to everyone involved as a legitimate remake of Last House. Unfortunately, about halfway through filming, a rich lawyer who financed the film suddenly decided overnight he was a 'pro' filmmaker and that his new (all original?!) film, which he now retitled "Chaos", had no need for David Hess or Sheffler...Hess was fired a day before appearing on set and Sheffler had his writing credit revoked.
Anyone following this production knows that Sage Stallone, Kevin Gage, and a few others were extremely upset over the lies and firing of Hess who they had become friends with during the weeks of pre-production. I truly can't believe the makers of this crap won't admit any connection to Last House.
I think that explains why Sage was so pissed off during the Chaos Q&A at Chicago's Flashback Weekend.
During the Q&A, I thought Sage (who came in late) was just being an ass but it wasn't until I was able to chat with him the next day that he told me why. He just couldn't stand being on the same panel sitting right next to the producer (who decided to attend this event on his own) and thats why Sage couldn't even look in that direction.
The next day when the producer wasn't around, you saw a much more cheerful Stallone who was very lively on the Q&A with Bruce Campbell. Hats off to Sage who turned out to be totally cool.

I'll still probably give the movie a look just out of curiosity. If it ever gets here. Apparently the New Zealand ban on Last House On The Left was only lifted last year.(Never even realised it was banned since United have had a copy for as long as I've been going there)
